Being a member of a Board can be daunting. Although there are many good references to help Board members, often times a person’s initiation consists of a heart-felt ask from an organization’s chief executive or another Board member accompanied with accolades of how much you will bring to the table. From there it is a regular challenge to understand the role and expectations of board members and how the board works and makes decisions.
This workshop is designed to help new and existing board members understand the infrastructure necessary to have a high functioning board. It will focus on three specific areas:
